Mr. Roy Dean Brewer

Mr. Roy Dean Brewer, of Pittsburg, passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019 in a Tyler hospital. He was born Jan. 28, 1936 in Ector, Texas to Earl Thomas Brewer and Verna Gertrude Elliott.

Mr. Brewer was owner of Roy D, Brewer Trucking, served in the Army, and attended First Baptist Church in Pittsburg.

He is survived by his son, Greg Brewer and wife Tanna of Gilmer, Texas; grandchild, Shelby Brewer; and brother, Joe Brewer.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Tom Brewer, Ross Brewer, Lloyd Allen Brewer, and Virginia Ballou.

His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019 at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Richard Wells officiating. Pallbearers will be Gary Paul McFerrin, Ken Pilgrim, Jerry Thomas, Joe Thomas, Bill Smith, Tom Hanks, and Norm Simson. Interment will follow in Simpsonville Cemetery in Simpsonville. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m Wednesday, Jan. 16 at the funeral home.
