Ruby Lee Logan died Feb. 26, 2019 in Hooks, Texas. She was born Sept. 9, 1924 to Walter E. and Maggie Myrtle Heavrin Wilson in Sugar Hill, Texas. Ruby worked as a seamstress for Mike Benet Formals. She was affiliated with the Church of God of Prophecy.

She is survived by her sons; Royce Dwain Logan and wife Sandra, Douglas Logan and wife Becky, both of Pittsburg; daughter, Anita Logan Steward and husband Henry of Mount Pleasant; grandchildren, Brad Logan of Chattanooga, Tenn., Brinda Sullivan and husband Chris of Smyrna, Tenn., Natasha Buck and Husband Danny of Hooks, Texas, Jerry Don Sloan and wife Ashley of New Boston, Texas and Erikk Friberg and wife Sarah of Pittsburg, Texas; six step-grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Walter and Maggie Wilson; husband, Pete Logan; daughter, Treacia Logan; grandson, Brian Logan; sister, Gertrude Thompson; and brother, Jess Wilson.

A funeral service was held Saturday, March 2, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Church of God of Prophecy in Sugar Hill with Bro. David Posey and Bro. Wesley Vandever officiating. The family received friends on Friday, March 1, 2019, from 6-8 p.m. at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home.
