Knight

Linda Gail Murrell Knight, 67, of Pittsburg and more recently of Spring, Texas, died Thursday, March 28, 2019 in The Woodlands. She was born August 15, 1951 in Alexandria, La. to John R. and Alice Lemoine Murrell. Knight was a retired nurse and was a member of the protestant faith. She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Knight LaCross; grandchildren, Austin James LaCross and Katelyn Ilene LaCross; brother, John Murrell and wife Margaret. Knight is preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Knight; parents, son, John Elvin Knight; brother, William “Dub” Murrell; and sister, Brenda Darlene Sims. Her funeral service was held Monday, April 1, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Neal Thornburgh officiating. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg. Pallbearers were Johnny Murrell, Austin LaCross, Mark Dempsey, Terry Murrell, Scott Murrell, Daniel Murrell, Mick Fouse and Andrew Dover. The family received friends prior to the service from at Erman Smith Funeral Home.
