Mr. Edward “Jed” Jackson, age 57, of Galveston, formerly of Pittsburg passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 in League City. He was born October 2, 1963 to Edward Jackson, Sr. and Sandra Tennis Jackson in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Jed was an entrepreneur, musician, pilot, a wonderful cook, and he also worked in real estate and banking. He was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Kristy Hardeman of Galveston; children, Meghan Bennett and Justin Bennett of Pittsburg; and Nick Jackson and Kambry Jackson of Pittsburg; step-children, Holly Hemmingsen of Galveston and Heidi Hemmingsen of San Marcos; mother, Sandra Tennis Jackson of Pittsburg; grandchildren, Jackson Bennett, Jagger Bennett, Everett Jackson, and Ella Kate Jackson; and sisters, Elaine Pilbro of Pittsburg, and Janet Force of Ft. Worth.

He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Jackson, Sr.

A wonderful, casual Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the Methodist Church Ministry Center in Pittsburg on Saturday October 9 at 2pm. Food will be provided and a come and go option is available for anyone not able to stay.

On behalf of the family, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of Jed’s father who succumbed to this awful disease.
