GRIFFIN

Joe Lynn Griffin, age 77, of Maiden, NC, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Carolina Caring in Newton, NC. Joe was born in Dallas, TX to the late Mouzon Griffin and Mabel Wallace Griffin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Keith Griffin. Joe worked for Microsoft as a Support Engineer until his retirement and member of Pisgah UMC in Catawba.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Betty Drum Griffin, of the home; two sons: Charlie Poovey of Hickory and Kris Griffin and wife, Christy of Keithville, LA; two daughters: Kim Samples and husband, Russell of Rockwall, TX and Kelly Griffin of LaGrange, GA; brother: James Griffin of Pittsburg, TX.

The Graveside Service was held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Pisgah UMC Church Cemetery in Catawba, NC with Rev. Buddy Compton officiating.

The family received friends immediately following the graveside service.
