Green

Funeral services for Truman Green, 87, of Pittsburg were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tim Schane and Reverend Earl Akins officiating. Interment was at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg. Green died Monday, May 13, 2019 in a Mount Pleasant, Texas nursing home.

Green was born September 18, 1931 in Norphlet, Arkansas to John Felton and Dossie Thompson Green. He was a veteran of the Korea War, a retired T.V. repairman and a member of the Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Opal Alene Green; sons, Robert Wayne Green and wife, Mary Ann of Jacksonville and John Edward Green and wife, Antoinette of San Antonio; brother, B.F. Green; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Green is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Myra Green; and sisters, Elizabeth Deason and Laverne Gray.

Pallbearers were David Burns, Jackson Wade Coates, Rick Avent, Quint Baucum, Matt Ford and Andy Ford.
