    Russell Ralph Goetsch

Goetsch

Russell Ralph Goetsch was born at home on the family farm in Fremont, Wisconsin on September 10, 1941. He was called home by his Savior

June 8, 2019.

After graduating high school, Russ moved to California to make it big in the movies, but instead met and married his wife of 57 Years, Janet Black. He worked as a carpenter for Plant Brothers and The Gap for 20 years and then decided to retire and moved to Texas. After settling in, Russ went to work at the Monticello Power Plant, and after numerous years, opted for early retirement. To keep

himself busy, Russ picked up a hobby running the Blue Lagoon food concession trailer with his wife Jan, in Canton, Texas until 2001.

Russ and Jan loved the farm in Gilmer, driving his “pony” (Polaris) all around the fields, feeding the fish in the pond, counting cows, and cursing the wild hogs.

He will be missed by his three children, Bridgette Hardin and husband, Rick; Brett Goetsch, Barry Goetsch and wife, Sandra; grandchildren, Jace Hardin, J.T. Hardin, Jordan Goetsch, Kali Goetsch, Wesley Goetsch, Russel Don Goetsch, and Sabrina Goetsch; brothers Fred Goetsch and wife, Darlene, and Daniel Goetsch; sister, Sharon Lankford-Wohlt and husband, Jack; sister-in-law Sharon Goetsch; and numerous other family and friends.

His memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Alzheimer’s Research or a charity of your choice. An online guestbook may be signed at www.reeder-davis.com.
