Blackstone

Mrs. Judith Ann Blackstone, 86, of Pittsburg, died Feb. 15, 2019 at Windsor Nursing Home in Daingerfield. She was born Feb. 11, 1933 in Anniston, Alabama.

Mrs. Blackstone grew up in Pittsburg, the first of three girls born to Aaron and Bernice Parker. She attended school in Pittsburg, then business school in Tyler. Mrs. Blackstone was a member of First United Methodist Church, a devoted wife and mother and worked part time at the family business.

Mrs. Blackstone is survived by a daughter, Lisa Beaman, daughter-in-law GayLynn Blackstone, grandchildren, Shelbie Blackstone, Aaron Aydelott, Eric Aydelott and Garrett Aydelott, one great-grandchild Liam Aydelott, two sisters, Mary Jane Tigert and husband Norris Tigert, and Lucy Quinn, four nieces, one nephew, and a special caregiver Laura Applewhite.

She is preceded in death by her husband George Blackstone, son Greg Blackstone, her parents Aaron and Bernice Parker, and a brother-in-law Lindley Quinn.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Ebenezer Cemetery. A visitation was held before the service at the funeral home.
