Billy Dave “Bo” Davis

Mr. Billy Dave “Bo” Davis also known as “Sarge”, age 92, of League City, formerly of Pittsburg, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024 in League City, Texas. He was born October 7, 1931 to George William and Esther Elizabeth Maxey Davis in Pittsburg.

Sarge was a retired DPS Officer, having worked for DPS from 1958-1993, served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955, was a 50 year member of Frank Sexton Masonic Lodge in Pittsburg where he was a past Grand Master, and was very well known for conducting Masonic Funerals around East Texas. He is survived by his wife, Sonoma Chaney Davis,; daughter, Elizabeth “Libby” Ann Harkey and husband Thomas; step-children, Samuel David Threadgill, Billy James Threadgill, Anthony Wayne Threadgill, and Mitzie Marlene Almeida; and two grandchildren, Cody Jackson and Cayden Jackson.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy Moody Davis; his parents, George and Esther Davis; brother, Claxton Davis; and his sister, Annie Ruth McDonald.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at the First Baptist Church in Pittsburg with Bro. Joel Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery in Pittsburg. Those serving as pallbearers will be, Cody Jackson, Troop Estes, Rhett McCullough, Jessie Estes, and Tony Threadgill. There will be a visitation held before the service beginning at 1:00 P.M. at the church.
