Barnwell

John Bradford “Brad” Barnwell, 53, of Pittsburg, was born on July 6, 1965, in Pittsburg, Texas to Bobby Nolan Carpenter and Nancy Gene Hoffman Carpenter and died April 12, 2019, at his home surrounded by his wife and children.

A memorial visitation service was held Tuesday, April 16, 2019, in the McWhorter Funeral Home Chapel.

Brad served in the U.S. Army from 1984-89. While stationed in Germany, he met his future wife Heike Schlüter on February 22, 1988 and they were married in Leesburg, Texas. Brad worked for many years for AEP-SWEPCO at the Welsh Power Plant as a machinist.

Survivors include his wife, Heike Barnwell; children, Ty Barnwell and wife Deisi; Chyene Barnwell and husband Homero Mejia; parents, Bobby and Genie Carpenter; sister, Brandye Barnwell and husband Cliff Smith; and two grandchildren, Jayden Mejia and Zane Mejia.
