E.B. Attaway, Jr. of Houston went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 31, 2021 at the age of 77. He was born on May 18, 1944, in Pittsburg, Texas to E.B. Attaway Sr. and Sarah Holley Blackmon-Attaway. He was married to Linda Attaway on June 10, 2000.

E.B. was very passionate about his family and never met a stranger. He had an infectious smile and was always able to make others laugh with a joke and his quick wit. He graduated from Pittsburg High School and played football and basketball for West Texas State. After a stint with the Houston Oilers, he traveled the world and became an icon in the Oil & Gas industry, where he spent over 50 years in contracts, procurement, and logistics. Over the last 13 years, he found a lot of happiness on the family farm. In the evenings and on the weekends you could find him mowing on his tractor, raising ducks, and spending time with the horses. He adored his wife Linda, who he met 42 years ago, his kids, and the many animals on the farm.

He is survived by his wife Linda Attaway, son E.B. Attaway III and wife Caroline, daughters Natalie Jones and husband Bobby and Melanie Gavrel and husband Johnny, granddaughter Brooke Attaway, all of Houston; niece Barbara Johnson of La Porte, and nephew Mike Ferguson and wife Brenda of Pittsburg.

He is preceded in death by his parents E.B. Attaway Sr. and Sarah Holley Blackmon-Attaway, brother Billy Attaway, and sister Betty Hamilton.

Service arrangements were made for Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079, with Kyle Shipp officiating. There was a visitation from 3 PM to 5 PM and a celebration of life service immediately followed.
