New Life Baptist Church Celebrates a New Pastor

Please join us Sunday, May 29 for the introduction of our new pastor, Rev. Darren M. Palmer. He will be delivering a dynamic sermon enhancing our knowledge of the Bible, its principles, and its application to life situation. We are excited to begin our new chapter in the community with this great speaker. Please join us in welcoming our Pastor this Sunday at 11 a.m.

A native a Mount Pleasant, Rev. Darren Mondrell Palmer received his education through the local school system. A graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School in 1999, Rev. Palmer later attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, the Champion School of Real Estate, and graduated with a M.S. in Ministry and Leadership from East Texas Theological Seminary.

A member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church since his youth, Palmer served as a Young Adult Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader, and Associate Minister under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Kirthell Roberts Senior Pastor. He also serves in several civic organizations including the local Lion’s Club, Executive Committee Member for Mount Pleasant Schools, and board member for Communities in School (CIS), a U.S. Government Funded Organization.

His family includes his wife Stephanie, and children Laiklyn 16, Arie 14, Elijah 13, and Zion 6 who some say will be the next pastor in their Palmer family. Palmer is Chief Book Officer of Self Publish-N-30 Days, where he leads a team of experts in being a one stop shop for all authors’ needs when it comes to publishing their books.

Rev. Palmer, believes in using the gift and talents God has given him for the expansion of the KINGDOM!
