Jimmie Carroll Davis

Jimmie was born on January 14, 1945, to Carroll and Earnestine Davis. Jimmie was the oldest of 2 children.

Losing their parents while very young, Jimmie and his brother, Bob, were raised by their maternal Aunt and Uncle, Nova Dee Wade and O.F. “Bud” Wade, alongside with their cousins Mike, Debbie, David and Joel.

Raised in Pittsburg, TX – Jim attended Pittsburg High School. Jim played Football his Freshman and Sophomore years and was active in FFA.

After high school, Jim served in the US Army from 1963 – 1966 where he was stationed in

France. Upon his return from the Army, Jim worked as a carpenter and other odd jobs until he began his career as a truck driver, for over 40 years. During his time driving, he took pride in being a part of the “Trucker Buddy” program where he shared his stories, pictures and his truck with elementary children across several states.

Upon his retirement, Jim spent his days with his lov ing dog Odin, fishing and working at Walmart to fill his time.

Jim had 2 sons, Jason Davis and Michael Davis; of whom he took great pride in sharing many stories of their life accomplishments with his friends and co-workers.

Jim was proceeded in death by his parents Carroll and Earnestine Davis; Uncle O.F “Bud” Wade,

Aunt Nova Dee Wade, Cousin/Sister Debbie Peek, Cousin/Brother Mike Wade.

Jim was survived by his brother Bob Davis and sister-in-law Pat Davis; Cousin/Brother David

Wade; Cousin/Brother Joel Wade; Sons Jason Davis and Michael Davis. 5 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren; long-time friend and companion Shelly Mellon, Wife Vickie Davis and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday April 30, 2022, at 11:00 am at Pleasant Grove
