CAPEHART

Mr. Robert Alvin Capehart, age 80 of Longview, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at his home. He was born December 31, 1940 to Clarence and Anna Belle Capehart in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.

He was a machinist for 35 years, and was retired from LeTourneau. He worked as a crossing guard at Ware Elementary School, was a part of Citizens On Patrol and was an Assistant Scout Master for many years.

He is survived by his children, Jimmy Capehart and wife Mary Jane Capehart, Robert Wayne Capehart, and Melanie Fernandez and husband Joe Fernandez; grandchildren, Ashley, Whitney, Hannah, Heather, Amanda and Amber; nine great-grandchildren; niece, Vickie Bell Sutton, as well other numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Joyce Capehart, his parents, and three brothers, Charles Capehart, Donald Capehart, and Jim Capehart.

Funeral Services were held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, May 22, 2021, at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg with interment following at Macedonia Cemetery in Pittsburg. There was a visitation held before the service beginning at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
