DSHS confirms 4 of 6 Camp County COVID-19 cases have fully recovered

Thursday evening, County Judge A.J. Mason announced that four of the six cases of COVID-19 in Camp County have been deemed fully recovered by DSHS. This means that it has been more than seven days since symptoms appeared in the patient and at least 72 hours since symptoms were present.

Mason said of the news from DSHS, I still attribute this to the outstanding efforts of our citizens, businesses, churches and various organizations. Everyone has responded so well and I ask you to please continue. We expect an announcement from Governor Abbott on Monday to lay out his plan for opening up Texas. The folks in Camp County and Pittsburg are certainly doing their part. Keep up the good work. We are headed in the right direction and will win this together.”

The recovery of these cases means that there are now only two citizens of Camp County actively infected with the virus. Please continue to practice social distancing and good hygiene, and only venture out of your home when necessary.
