Funeral services for Marlon Harrison Steed, 86 of Pittsburg, were at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25, 2020 with Bro. David Kizer officiating. Interment will be at Macedonia Cemetery in Pittsburg. Mr. Steed passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020 in Pittsburg, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Steed was born March 7, 1933 in Wood County, Texas to Thomas Ira and Geraldine Crow Steed. He retired from T&N Railroad in Lone Star, TX.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Steed; daughters, Belinda Busbee and husband, Carroll of Pittsburg, Cyndi Moon and husband, John of Simpsonville; grandchildren, Douglas Applegate and wife, Sharon of Simms, TX, Mandy Meade and husband, Jeff of Pittsburg, Johnetta Tucker and husband, Ben of Simpsonville, Adelia King and husband, John of Simpsonville, David Busbee and wife, Beth of Pittsburg, Jennifer Kennington and fiancé, Toby McDaniel of Hughes Springs; 14 great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by one brother, Clifton Steed and wife Brenda of Longview, TX.

Mr. Steed is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Ira and Geraldine Crow Steed; brothers, Clint Steed, Bob Steed; sisters, Dee Rudolph and Kathy Brownlee; son-inlaw, H.D. Applegate.

Pallbearers will be Carroll Busbee, John Moon, Jeff Meade, Ben Tucker, Caleb Applegate and Carter Applegate. Visitation was held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 24, 2020 at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
