Pittsburg Fire Department receives large brush truck grant from Texas A&M Forest Service
The Pittsburg Fire Department of Camp County received a $220,000 grant from the Texas A&M Forest Service Rural Volunteer Fire Department Assistance Program. The grant was used to purchase a 2022 Freightliner with a 1000-gallon water tank, foam, hoses, and other rescue equipment.
Proposed school bond to come before voters again May 6
In the fall of 2021, Pittsburg ISD contracted with BWA Architects to do facility studies and determine what was needed to fix several issues regarding the buildings, overcrowding, etc. on the school campuses.
American Legion to sponsor Henninger and Marshall for Boys State
Each year, the American Legion Department of Texas hosts Boys State, a program designed to teach young men how American government works from the local to the state level.
