As a result of early morning storms on Friday that brought straight line and hurricane force winds to much of SWEPCO’s east Texas and northwest Louisiana service territories, more than 233,898 customers were without power. SWEPCO activated an all-in response to restore electric service to all impacted customers, requesting aid from AEP Texas, Appalachian Power, Indiana & Michigan Power, and Kentucky Power as well as other support from Missouri and Oklahoma. The SWEPCO crews plus over 2,800 utility professionals activated to help restore power.
