Pioneer Days slated for September 18
The annual Pioneer Days celebration is scheduled for September 18 this year, after a one-year hiatus due to COVID-19. The Chamber is already hard at work planning the event, and Peach Queen prospects are putting on a flurry of fundraisers.
“Need to make some extra money? Want to have some fun? Then join us for our 48th Annual Pioneer Day Festival set for September 18,” said the Chamber. “Thousands of people will flock to Pittsburg helping us celebrate. As in the past 48 years of Pioneer Days, we will have a parade, a carnival, 2 days and nights live music and entertainment, a street dance in the evening, a food court filled with a variety of delicious food options.” An enlightening Leadership Luncheon and Senior
Health Expo are added attractions this year. Be sure to check out the pageants where the coveted title of Miss Peach and Little Miss Peach will be announced. The Peach Queen Coronation will be September 15.
Latino Heritage Night and the Senior Health Expo are slated for September 17. Visitors will experience Mariachi to Tejano music, along with traditional dance and great Tex Mex cuisine. During the day Seniors can gather valuable information on healthcare.
The parade and street dance will be held September 18. Enjoy fine Texas food, a parade, and dance the night away with the Darrin Morris Band. Other festival entertainers include April Smith, Men in Harmony, Mariachi Arraigo de America, and North Texas Caledonian Pipes and Drums.
