The Extension Service will host a Beef Cattle Program on Friday, May 7 from 8 AM to 2 PM at the Titus County Extension Office located at 1708 Industrial Rd in Mount Pleasant, TX. The cost for registration will be $20 and covers topics such as an update from Texas Animal Health Commission, Product updates from animal health representatives and maximizing your calf crop. A catered meal will be served and is included in the registration fee. The cost is $10 per session. East New Hope Cemetery Decoration Day: The East New Hope Cemetery Decoration Day will be held this year on May 8. This will be on the second Saturday in May instead of the first as in the past. In an effort to minimize contact between individuals and maintain social distancing as much as possible, a barbeque lunch will be served beginning at noon in the church hall, followed by a short business meeting. A love offering will be taken to offset the cost of the lunch. For those who will be unable to attend, donations may be mailed to East New Hope Cemetery Foundation at PO Box 181, Mount Pleasant, Texas 75455. Farmers Academy Cemetery decoration will be Saturday, May 8th. Contributions may be mailed to Gloria Holt at 500 Redfearn Court, Mount Pleasant, TX 75455.

There will be a Summer Horticulture Series offered beginning May 12th from 10 AM-12 PM at the Titus County Extension Office discussing Viticulture and growing grapes in Northeast Texas. Other topics throughout the Summer Series include Fruit and Nut Trees held on June 9, Water Conservation and Rainwater Harvesting held on July 7, and Fall Gardening held on August 11. The cost is $10 per session.
