Peer Group Study Tuesdays The Douglass Alumni Community Center is welcoming PISD students to form peer study groups each Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. If you plan to come or would like to volunteer, email daccpittsburg@gmail.com.
There will be retired teachers to assist, but the goal is peer-to-peer study help.
Free pizza and hotdogs will also be available. “Friends help friends. Make better grades.”

Almost, Maine NTCC’s Theatre Northeast will be presenting Almost, Maine on December 1 and 2 at 7:30 p.m. There will be two showings on December 3 as well: 7:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale at www.whatleycenter.com.

Home for the Holidays Home for the Holidays Christmas event and parade will take place on December 3. Vendors will by plying their wares from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the parade will be at 10 a.m.

Corey McCurry, Pianist Pianist Corey McCurry will offer a Christmas piano concert at the First United Methodist Church, Pittsburg on December 4 at 6 p.m. This will be a free concert with a love offering taken as well.

Celtic Angels Christmas The Celtic Angels Christmas concert will take place at NTCC’s Whatley Center on December 6 at 7:30 p.m.

Piney Grove Baptist Church Piney Grove Baptist Church will be offering a Parent’s Night Out on December 10 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Children ages 0 – 5th grade may be dropped off at the church at 2 p.m. and picked up at 6 p.m. Please call 903-2379471 for more information.
Christmas Concert The Mount Pleasant Chamber Orchestra’s Christmas concert “Mendelssohn & Mistletoe” will be Saturday, December 10 at 6p at Tennison United Methodist Church. This performance will include carols and pieces you are sure to recognize. With help from a choir and you during the sing-a-long, this will be a performance you will not want to miss.
