Chip-sealing time around the corner
The Commissioners are preparing to garner the materials necessary for the summer job of repairing county roads. The Commissioner’s Court awarded all the bids submitted for Camp County Road Materials during their regular meeting on May 18. Multiple options will allow them to utilize the best option for a given project as needed.
Commissioner Steve Hudnall noted that it is getting to be chip-sealing time again in the next few weeks. Two grants amounting to $95,000 were applied for and received by Commissioner Hudnall in the fall of 2021. The required matching county funds of 10 percent were added, and these funds were laid out in road materials in Precinct 2. But the roads seem to be a constant issue, and the commissioners are preparing to see what can be done about it in 2022.
The Court approved the re-platting of lots 18, 19, and 20 into one larger lot in the Cherokee Point Subdivision.
They also approved the division of the 48.27 acre plat in Precinct 2, known as the 2213 Lot, into several smaller tracts.
Pilgrim Bank was awarded the bid for the Camp County Bank Depository.
