Child Safety Seat Checks - March 14

Free child safety seat checks will be held at the Pittsburg Fire Department at 514 South Greer Blvd. on Thursday, March 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. No appointment is needed.

Rabies Clinic - March 18-24

The 2019 Camp County 4-H Rabies Vaccination Clinic will be held March 18-23 at Pittsburg Veterinary Clinic at 203 N. Greer Blvd. from 8 a.m. to noon 1-5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The cost per dog or cat is $7 for the rabies vaccine and $2 off all other vaccinations.

Camp County Retired School Personnel Meeting - March 21

Due to Spring Break, Camp County Retired School Personnel will hold their monthly meeting on March 21 at 2 p.m. at the Pittsburg ISD Administration Board Room. The guest speaker will be Laura Richardson, a nutritionist at UT Health Pittsburg.

Chef Battle Pittsburg Texas - March 23

The Chef Battle Tournament Series is coming to Pittsburg. The event will be held Saturday, March 23 at Anvil Brewing at 115 Compress St. from 2-5 p.m. Local chefs have one hour to compete to be named Pittsburg’s Best Chef. The winning chefs will advance to the 2019 Southern Regional Chef Battle. General admission tickets are $30 for the standing-room-only event and include live entertainment, samples from chefs, and a voting ballot to name the crowd favorite. NTCC Spring Fest - March 29-30

Annual Museum Fundraiser - April 6

The Ezekiel Airship room will be the setting for this year’s fundraiser for the Northeast Texas Rural Heritage Museum. The theme is “A Night at the Museum.” The event will be held April 6 at 6:30 p.m., and will feature live music with The Texas Country Hot Shots, food provided by Lori’s Eats and Sweets, and live and silent auctions. Highway 271 Car Cruise - April 6

The 2019 Highway 271 Car Cruise will be held Saturday, April 6. This year, the annual event will start in Mount Pleasant and cruise south through Pittsburg, Gilmer and wrap up in Gladewater. There will be fun and food along the way, and prizes to be won. Whether you are a participant or a spectator, you’ll be sure to have a great day in northeast Texas.

Pittsburg Art & Wine Festival - April 12-13

The 7th annual Pittsburg Art & Wine Festival will be held Friday, April 12 fro 5-9 p.m. and Saturday, April 13 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. next to the Camp County Courthouse. Coffee & Conversation – April 13

The Camp County NAACP will host an event titled Coffee & Conversation Saturday, April 13 with local election candidates, mayor and law enforcement officials. The event will be held at 6 p.m. at Douglass Gym at 403 Terry Street in Pittsburg. The purpose of this “Coffee & Conversation” is to open lines of communication with our community leaders.

Pittsburg Annual Hot Link Festival - April 27

The first-ever Pittsburg Annual Hot Link Festival will be held Saturday, April 27. The festival will pay homage to the history of this delicious hot link and includes a hot links and sausage cooking competition, cultural food tastings, vendors, a midway packed with games for the kids, and a full schedule of local entertainment. Tom Duffey Benefit – March 17

Faith Building Ministries in Winnsboro and Rev. Gregory Duffey, pastor, invite the community to join them as they host a benefit to raise money for Tom Duffey’s medical expenses. Duffey is a Camp County native facing a terminal illness. The event will include gospel singing and a meal. 25th Anniversary - March 17

The Living Green Baptist Church family invites the community to help them celebrate the 25th anniversary of their pastor, Rev. W.L. Film Showing – April 18

The Mount Pleasant Seventh-day Adventist Church will present the film The Death of Truth, The Decline of Culture at the NTCC Film Club Thursday, April 18 at 6:30 p.m. The film featuring Ravi Zacharias, Dennis Prager and Jeff Foxworthy is a discussion on whether the decline of faith communities in our society has led to a decline of our culture. The event will be held in the Health Science Building, Room 129.

Medieval Wine Faire - March 15-16
