JUNE 12

June Meeting Scheduled for Convention of States HD5: The next monthly meeting for Convention of States for House District 5 (Camp, Morris, Rains, Titus, Wood and part of Smith counties) will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Marshall’s Barbecue Pit, 745 East Lennon Drive, Emory Texas 75440, from 11:00 am. – 1:00 p.m. Canopies will be set up in the back for our meeting. Keynote speaker will be U.S. Representative Pat Fallon who will update us on activities in Washington, D.C.

Plan to attend, bring a friend, and learn how YOU can make a difference as a self-governing citizen. Enthusiasm for Convention of States movement is growing day by day.

JUNE 13

The officers and congregation of N.S. Curry CME Church, located on Locust St. in Naples, cordially invites the community to its pastor and wife’s third annual appreciation service at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 13.

The event will be held in the church parking lot in accordance with recommended COVID-19 transmission prevention protocols. The speaker will be Rev. Herbert Jones of Mt. Gilmore Baptist Church.

“We invite the community to come worship the Lord in His holiness,” said church pastor Rev. L.C. Bell.

JUNE 14

The Caddo Trace Beekeepers Association from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. will have a talk on diseases and pests, Monday 6/14/21 at the County AgriLife Building prior to their regularly scheduled monthly meeting. The Caddo Trace BeeKeepers Association will have it’s monthly meeting Monday 6/14/21 in the Agri-Life building. The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m., and we will be having a talk over “native plants and grow native “ by Belinda McLaughlin.

JUNE 18

Pre-Juneteenth festival sponsored by the City of MP will be on Friday June 18th from 11:00-8:00pm.

This will be a very safe, family fun environment. Water slides, miniature train rides, pony rides, park dedication at 6:00pm, music and food vendors will be onsite

JUNE 24-26

The Friends of the Library will hold a gigantic book sale June 24-26 at the Civic Center. Hours are 9-6 Thursday and Friday, and 11-4 Saturday. Choose from thousands of titles!

MAPLE SPRINGS ANNUAL SCHOOL REUNION The annual Maple

The annual Maple Springs School Reunion will be held June 26, 2021 at the Maple Springs Church Fellowshio Hall located East of Talco, Texas. All Ex-students, Spouses, Family and Friends are invided to attend. A covered dish luncheon will be served at 11:30 A.M.

McNeils, Southern Gospel Singers presented by Victory Church

June 27 at 6PM in the Bleu Hen Crossing Event Center at 234 Rusk Street

Come join The McNeills and Victory Church for an evening of worship through song, worship and testimony! The concert starts at 6:00 pm and admission is free, so make sure to bring your family, your friends or your whole church! A love offering will be received.
