Several years ago, I stood with an inmate during an even at a prison—and this man is one I’d gotten to know during several such gatherings. I’d not ever asked or pried about what brought him to prison. But on that day, he shared his heart with me. “I’m in here for a long time.”
This week’s message is for all of you out there who are dealing with or have ever had to deal with the day-to-day activities, ramblings, utterances and escapades of a toddler. If you are one of the group that is now in the middle of those days, let me start by saying that I am praying for you. Let me add that anyone that might be reading this, please lift up a prayer towards Heaven for all of those who are currently trying to “bring up a child in the way they should go” and trying to raise toddler children.

Boys and girls from the 4-H chapters in Camp and Franklin Counties got to spend a couple days at Lake Bob Sandlin last week. They caught a few catfish and sunfish, as well as several turtles, learned about different animals by their pelts and skulls as well as the traps used to catch them, how to cast a fishing line, and how to make a nutritionally-balanced trail mix. They took a walk through the forest and learned about fire safety, were instructed in the art of boat-building, and invited to view different critters such as toads, and scorpions that glow in black light.
