20th Century Club presents marker to Carson House
A metal marker, identifying the Carson House as a historical home in Pittsburg, was installed in front of this home by the efforts and donations of the ladies of the 20th Century Club. Built by Pierce Ligon in 1878 before Pittsburg was an incorporated city, the Carson House was bought by its namesake William Henry Carson, in 1887, and doubled as a boarding house for several years.
