The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College is set to dazzle audiences with an exciting variety of performances for the 2023-2024 season. Deputy Jim Carrigo made a call on a disturbance with guns involved on the morning of August 20 on County Road 2417. Upon Carrigo’s arrival, he observed Cason Green run across the yard in front of a trailer house, according to Camp County Sheriff John Cortelyou.
Several municipal fees saw an increase including mowing fees (up to $150 from $100); fees for requests for subdivision and zoning applications; the addition of a late penalty for fees concerning food establishment inspections; an increase in the bulk trash fee (up to $150 from $50) as well as the addition of a free landfill delivery date in the fall; and an increase in the cost of City water. As prices have increased in the Northeast Texas Municipal Water District by about 75 percent to 100 percent, Hardeman said that the City has absorbed this increase wherever possible, but will have to pass some of it on to the taxpayers. The maximum increase that one may see on their bill depending on water usage is $5.
