Camp Habitat celebrates October 1st World Habitat Day with an open house

Habitat for Humanity of Camp County volunteers are busy getting their new Camp Habitat Headquarters, located at 447 Mt. Pleasant Street in Pittsburg, ready for company next Sunday, October 1st, which is World Habitat Day. Everyone is invited to come out to help celebrate from 2pm to 5pm by touring our new facility and joining us in prayers for our affiliate’s and Habitat International’s future successes in its mission to create a better human habitat in which to live and work. The new Headquarters will help our affiliate to be more visible to the public, encourage volunteer participation, and concentrate our resources for addressing housing needs in our community.

NTCC receives $25,000 from Ed Rachal Foundation

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $25,000 grant from the Ed Rachal Foundation. Thanks to an additional matching grant opportunity, the funds will be doubled for a $50,000 impact. The grant will be utilized to expand the reach of the Work4College Program. The innovative Work4College Program enables students to work on campus and pay for their college in advance.
