Funeral Services for Linda “Dodson” Dees, 69, of Pittsburg, were held 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 3, 2020 at the First Baptist Church with Reverend Joel Davis and Bryan Price officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Dees passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 in Tyler.
Graveside services for Richard Dean Rostvold 83, of Pittsburg, will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Crossroads Cemetery with Chris Reese officiating. Interment will be Crossroads Cemetery in Camp County. Arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home. Mr. Rostvold passed away Saturday January 19, 2020 at his residence.
Camp County residents with old prescriptions lying around will soon have an opportunity to dispose of them appropriately. The East Texas Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse received a grant from the State of Texas to distribute safe disposal bags to East Texas residents. Sydney Smith is the daughter of Dara Smith and Chris Smith. She is a sophomore and is sponsored by PHS Majorettes. She describes herself as driven, competitive, and caring. She enjoys twirling, reading, and swimming, and is a HUGE Star Wars fan.
Responding to the increased number of citizens wanting to assist law enforcement officials and build a stronger partnership in the fight against crime, Camp County Sheriff Alan McCandless announced that Camp County citizens are being invited to become associate members of the Sheriffs’ Association of Texas.
