Missing man found deceased

Josh Searcy, a Camp County man that had been missing since Friday morning, was found by county officials Wednesday.  Sheriff Alan McCandless said that though the sheriff’s office had spoken to multiple people about Searcy, few leads were developed in the days after his disappearance, so a thorough search of the property around his home was conducted.

“Unfortunately, he was deceased when we found him early Wednesday morning,” McCandless said. An inquest was held by Justice of the Peace Harold Kennington. Searcy’s body was sent to the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy.
