Letter to the Editor
It is a very dangerous habit to be running on the highway and on major and minor streets in Pittsburg. There is a large park on the Abernathy overpass that has plenty of room during the day and night. People that run or walk at night or early hours without lights or a vest that illuminates when light hits it is very dangerous and could cause injury or death. It is also very dangerous on the runners’ part. It leaves a driver with all the responsibility when the person with no illumination is cause. On June 26, I came upon two men in Mt. Pleasant Street before daylight that alarmed me on such a narrow street.
