AUSTIN — Texas, along with the rest of the nation and the world, continued to battle the COVID-19 pandemic last week as cases and deaths attributed to the novel coronavirus increased.
There comes a time where one has to stop, take a breath, look around, and reassess their place in the world. I feel like the last several weeks has been that time for all of us.

Because, frankly, I’m getting really tired of all this “stuff ” – and you know exactly what I mean by “all this stuff.” I’m ready as much as you are for this pandemic thing to be over so we can go back to exactly how things were before.
My mom has always been my best friend. In childhood, she was there for every ball game, school play, band concert, breakup, make-up, and achievement. I am the youngest in the family, so my mom had plenty of years of raising my siblings to figure out how to raise me.
