Leon Delano Tolden, 81, of Pittsburg died at Pittsburg Nursing Center on July 19, 2018 at 5:20 p.m. He was born Nov. 22, 1935 in Dallas to Neal Tolden and Lois Marie Mathis.

Mr. Tolden was a high school graduate from Douglass High School. In 1952, he served as a Private in the US Army. He was employed at Lone Star Steel and Pilgrims Maintenance which was changed to Andritz-Ruthner where he retired in 2000.

Mr. Tolden is survived by his wife of 37 years, Judy Fitzgerald Tolden; daughter, Leticia Tolden of Ft. Worth; sons, Lionel Tolden of Tokyo, Japan and Trazell Bailey of Dallas; grandchildren, Ski Bailey of Los Angeles, Cali., Bianca Bailey of Champaign, Ill., Ariess Paul of Harlem, NY, Torma Bailey and Trevion Bailey of Dallas, Comele Paul of Terrell and Dante Willis of Pittsburg; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Yvonne Halloway & Francine Rigsby both of Dallas, Margaret Ward of Arlington and Theresa Jefferson of Indianapolis, IN; and his uncle, Golden (Kottie) Murphy of Pittsburg

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna Marshall; brother, Micheal Tenyata Tolden; sons Leon Tolden Jr. and Thomas James (Toby ) Noel; and daughter, Andrea Paul.

Cremation services were Saturday, July 21 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Kyle Smith officiating at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
