GAZETTE PHOTO / ELLIS KNOX The Pittsburg Fire and Rescue Department responded two units to the corner of FM 1520, 1521 and CR 2330 at 2:30 a.m. to find the old shop building, which has stood there well over 15 to 20 years, fully involved and already collapsed upon its self as pictured. The fire units remained at the scene until all flames were extinguished at 5:30 a.m. Items inside the collapsed steel walls and roof smoldered for several hours after. The engines and personnel returned to the station around 6:30 p.m. A unit returned to the scene around 9 a.m. to check on it, but no active fire was detected. No cause as yet been determined.
