Business Pittsburg Domino’s features new ‘Pizza Theater’ concept

The Domino’s franchise in Pittsburg features the company’s new pizza theater store design, which offers an open-area viewing of the food preparation process.

“We are excited to bring the first Pittsburg pizza theater store to local residents,” said Mac Mekonnen, Pittsburg Domino’s franchise owner. “The pizza theater design is an interactive experience where customers can actually watch and track their pizza being made, each step of the way. Domino’s is bringing the art and fun of pizza making to the forefront.”

Domino’s threw a grand opening celebration on June 12 with live music, giveaways and a special carryout deal to show off the new location to pizza fans.

During the celebration, Domino’s McKonnen, Domino’s VP of Operations Joe Gorman and Domino’s District Manager Andy Keener said they have been “very pleased with the overwhelmingly positive response they’ve experienced from Pittsburg in the past few weeks.”

The store also features a comfortable lobby with indoor seating, free Wi-Fi, a pickup window, and the ability to track carryout orders electronically on a lobby screen. Customers can also express their creativity or leave feedback for the store’s team members on a chalkboard in the restaurant.
