Pittsburg Scouts thrive, seek new members

Boy Scouts of America, as of February, 2025, is now called Scouting America because they have become more family inclusive. Their focus is on developing young boys and girls into well-rounded citizens. Scouts are Cub Scouts in a pack for children ages 5 to 10 who then move up to Boy and Girl Scouts in a troop starting at age 11 to 18 years old. In 2016, girls were added to the Packs up to fourth grade, then becoming independent dens within the troop until they transition out, along with the boys, at age eighteen. Both boys and girls can become Eagle Scouts. Scouting America now encompasses the whole family. Dad and Mom with both their boys andgirlscangoonthecampingtrips.
