Sign up now for free GED, ESL classes with NTCC Adult Education
The Adult Education Department at Northeast Texas Community College is accepting new and returning students for its GED (General Educational Development) and English Language programs. Those interested in participating in either of these free educational programs should call to make an appointment for registration beginning January 21, 2025. While classes are offered in various convenient locations around the area, all registration will be held at the Community Resource Center (formerly MPISD Administration Building) at 105 N. Riddle Street in Mount Pleasant. Please call 903-434-8341 for an appointment. In-person, remote, and online self-paced options will be available. Work4College application open for summer 2025
The Work4College Application is officially OPEN for the Summer of 2025! The Work4College Program is a great way to attend NTCC without acquiring debt and experience hands-on learning by working in a department on campus. The application is available to fill out and submit online at www.Work4College.com. The deadline to apply is April 11, 2025. In the Work4College Program, students may work in a variety of roles, including:• Assisting on the college farm Painting classrooms and dorm rooms • Campus maintenance (mowing, gardening, etc.) • Helping Student Services (giving tours, recruiting, assisting with financial aid, etc.) Compensation: Hourly Rate: $15 per hour Work up to 15 hours per week for 10 weeks $7.50/hour as spending money $7.50/hour applied toward their tuition and fees Eligibility: Students must have completed their sophomore year of high school by Summer 2025 to apply.
