CT Drilling & Construction Ribbon Cutting

On Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 11:15 am, CT Drilling & Construction, located at the southwest corner of Hwy 271 and Loop 179 in Pittsburg, held its sixth ribbon cutting that morning. This one was with the Pittsburg-Camp County Chamber of Commerce. They are members of the Chambers of Commerce in the following counties: Hopkins, Franklin, Wood, Camp, Titus, and Upshur. They do business in four states: Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.

Clay and Monica Penny founded the company in 2013 starting as a sub-contractor for American Electrical Power. They are now contracted with SWEPCO handling disbursement, transmission, generation, building and construction, and telecommunications. They also contract with Pilgrim’s Pride in Pittsburg and Mt. Pleasant. With this, they are currently developing two subdivisions: Cedar Hill’s 65 lot profile in Pittsburg and a 60 lot subdivision on Miller Street in Mt. Vernon, which is still in the infrastructure stage.

When asked the secret of the company’s success, Clay Penny said, “Give God the glory.”
