Camp Democrats Headed to Convention
On the second Tuesday of the month, May 12, 2026, at 6:00 pm, the Camp County Democratic Club met in the Douglass Alumni Center, for their monthly meeting. Linda Roberts, President of the club, took them through the agenda. There were thirteen members in attendance, including the Camp County Democratic Chair, Phyllis Parnell.
Approved motion for Committee to be formed to learn protocols and procedures for adding ZALE to the approved forms for receiving money donations for the Democratic party.
Receipts from the fund-raising yard sale at Jaye Cuthbertson McDade’s house totaled $789. Those funds will be used for delegates to go to the local Democratic Convention June 25-27 in Corpus Christi. Delegates are Phyllis Parnell, Jaye McDade, Kathy Spayde and Heather Harrell Phyllis Parnell reminded everyone that poll workers all have to have a certification class to work at the polls.
Phyllis Parnell informed the group that yard signs for Democratic candidates and voting in the general election in November can be paid for out of the general fund of the Texas Democratic Party.
The meeting concluded at 7:10 pm with a reminder from Linda Roberts to take the poll worker certification class.
