Lions Meet Goldie and Moonlight Acres
Lions met Thursday, February 12, 2026, at noon at NTCC, Pittsburg, for their weekly meeting. They were met at the door by a five foot one inch lioness named Goldie who welcomed them to the meeting.
Republican and Democrat Primary Ballot Propositions
When you go to vote in March, and you are given either a Republican or Democrat ballot, there are propositions on each that you are requested to vote for or against. In November, at the general election, the Propositions you voted for will be on that one ballot, so the whole county can decide which propositions they want to support. The Democrat Proposition Ballot is first because D comes before R in the alphabet.
VFW Hosting Boy Scouts
On February 28, at 3:00 pm the local Boy Scouts Troop 6210, led by Troop Leader, Nick Robertson, will be retiring almost 100 American flags at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Camp County Memorial VFW Post 5398 in Pittsburg, at 646 FM 21, who are hosting the February 28 flag burning ceremony, according to Post Commander Roman Eble.
