NTCC Kids College- June

Northeast Texas Community College will host Kids Discovery College for kids ages 8-16 July 9-19. Register through June 28. Classes include photography, robotics, Cooking with Chef Reeves, graphic design, The Mad Scientist, clay animation, engineering design, video game design, comic book creation, Pinterest crafts, keyboarding and internet safety, plus two new classes Super Sleuth and web design. Independence Day Blast

July 4

The annual Tri-County Independence Day Blast will be held July 4 at Broach Park on Loop 179 in Pittsburg. The festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. with concessions open at 5 p.m. The evening includes a kids patriotic parade, a Fireman’s Waterworks sprinkler station, the Parachute Bingo contest for a $1,000 prize and the fireworks show, which begins at dark. The campgrounds at Lake Bob Sandlin State Park will be closed July 9 through Labor Day needed repairs and improvements.
