Crime Watch

The Center Point Neighborhood Crime Watch will host a meeting Monday, June 25 at 6:45 p.m. at Center Point Baptist Church, 2691 F.M. 2057 in Pittsburg. The Pittsburg Rotary Club will host a Triple Salad Place Luncheon Wednesday, June 27 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the NTCC Hanson-Sewell Center. First United Methodist Church of Pittsburg will host a Family Vacation Bible School. Fun In The “Son” will be held June 19-21 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. This will be a time for families to come together to share a meal, arts and crafts, grow in worship and participate in fun family games.

Revival

Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (Pastor, Rev. B.R. Hargest) located at FM 2254 will be hosting their annual revival on June 27, 28 and 29 starting at 7:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Rev. J.D. Palmer of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Longview.

Who doesn’t love fresh veggies and fruits this time of year? The Pittsburg Farmer’s Market is now open. Support our local farmers each Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon at Texas Country Farm Supply.

God’s Closet Summer Hours

God’s Closet’s new summer hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mon-Sat. Summer Meals for kids hours are breakfast 9-10 a.m. and lunch 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Senior fun time is 1-3 p.m. every Wednesday. Food distribution is still 9 a.m. to noon every Wednesday and Friday.

Fan Drive

Camp County is hosting a fan drive to donate every box fan to help those without cooling. Donations will be taken from now until July 4th Tri-County Independence Day Blast. Drop off locations are at Southern Wind Manor Assisted Living, Pittsburg Nursing Center and God’s Closet. For more information call Courtney Grigsby at 903-563-1608.
