William ‘Billy’ Young, 67, of Silsbee died Wednesday, Sept. 19 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. He was born in Pittsburg on Jan. 9, 1951 to William and Mary Henson Young.

A private memorial was held for family and close friends.

Mr. Young was a welder at Beech Creek Caney head const and served in the army. He had a passion for NASCAR, sprint car racing, fishing and welding.

He is survived by three sons, Dino Young and wife Tessa of Alvarado, Dano Young, and Clint Young; two daughters, Renee Young of McLeod, and Christy Jetton and husband Johnny Jetton of Harmony; siblings, Gary Young of Pittsburg, Pam Shults and husband Richy Shults of Pittsburg, and Freda Croley and husband Lloyd Croley of Dangerfield; thirteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Darrell Young and Tony Young; and nephew, Dustin Young.

Memorials may be made to St Jude’s Children Hospital on behalf of William Young.
