Mr. Bobby Thompson, age 84, of Pittsburg, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at his home in Pittsburg. He was born November 8, 1936 to Drexel and Evelyn Walker Thompson in Altoona, Alabama.

He was retired from Pilgrim’s Pride a rancher and farmer and a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Pittsburg.

He is survived by his sons, Johnny Ray Thompson and wife Joyce, and Joey Thompson; grandchildren, Jamie Harlow and husband Gerran Peoples, Sarah Thompson, Jason Thompson, and Christopher Thompson; great-grandchildren, Shayla Thompson, Addyson Thompson, Justin Thompson, Brooklyn Rogers, and Maximilian Thompson; brothers, Lewis Thompson and wife Betty, Randy Thompson and wife Gloria, Gary Thompson and wife Billie; sisters, Joyce Smith, and Cherie Douglas; sister-in-law’s, Vera Thompson and Sue Thompson.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Clara Thompson; his parents, daughter, Jacqueline Kay “Jackie” Harlow; daughter-in-law Liz Thompson; grandson, Johnny Carl “Chip” Thompson; brothers, Roy Thompson, and Lynn Thompson; sister, Maxine Toney; and a brother-in-law, Edward Toney.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg with Bro. Craig Toney officiating. There will be a come and go visitation held before the service beginning at 11:30 A.M. at the funeral home.
