Maddox

Jimmie C. Maddox, age 67, passed away on November 26, 2019 at his home in Pittsburg, TX. He was born on April 1, 1952 in Atlanta, TX to Calvin Maddox and Mary Orr Maddox.

A memorial service will be held on January 18, 2019, at 2:00 PM in Pittsburg, TX at Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Jimmie graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1970, was a graduate of Texas A&M University of Commerce, and loved being around people. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mauriceville, TX and was also affiliated with Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pittsburg, TX where he enjoyed serving the Lord. He spent his time being with his family which he had so much love for, as well as being at home watching his favorite T.V. shows.

He is survived by a cousin(that was like a sister) Jimmye Sue Walsworth of Shreveport, LA; brother, Cecil Carter and wife Ann of Shreveport, LA; sister-in-law, Jeannette Carter of Zavalla, TX; brother, Fred Maddox of Pittsburg, TX; sister, Glenda Barnwell and husband Hood of Vidor, TX; brother Mike Maddox and wife Sharon of Live Oak, TX; sister, Dianne Neeley of Pittsburg, TX, as well as numerous cousins, friends, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Mary Maddox, brother, Robert “Bobby” Carter, brother, Tommy Carter and his grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First Baptist Church in Mauriceville, TX, Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pittsburg, TX and Cypress Basin Hospice in Mt. Pleasant, TX.
