Holt

Louie Holt was born October 15, 1952, in Lamesa, Texas. He went to be with the Lord on November 24, 2019, in his home in Pittsburg at the age of 67.

Louie loved God and loved people. He dedicated his life to Christ when he was 16. He was drafted into the Army and served for three years as an E-4 specialist. He was honorably discharged in 1974. He met his wife Virginia in 1974 at Knott’s Berry Farm in California. They were married August 2, 1975 and adopted their daughter, Marissa, in 1988.

Louie worked as an N.D.T. inspector for 17 years. Louie and the family moved to Pittsburg in 1992. Shortly thereafter, he worked in the education field with special needs children until retirement. He became loved and known as “Papa Louie.” His beautiful granddaughter, Krystalyn, was born March 7, 2006.

Louie is survived by his wife of 44 years, Virginia Holt, daughter Marissa, and granddaughter Krystalyn; his sister, Teresa Farrow and husband Mike, and other friends and relatives. A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 8, at 2 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
