FRENCH

Virginia Carolyn (Rainey) French Jones, age 86, of Mt. Vernon, Texas passed away December 31, 2020. She was born July 10, 1934 to Floyd Young Rainey and Jewell Vick Rainey in Knox City, Texas.

Ms. French was a loving mother and devoted grandmother. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for her babies. She was a CNA for home healthcare services and a member of Church of God of Prophecy.

Ms. French is survived by her son, Dickie Leon French of Mt. Vernon, Texas; grandchildren, Kassidy Nichole Wesson and her husband Dustin, Samuel James French and his fiancé Melissa Tucker, Megan Stephens and her husband Logan, Steven Knight and his wife Cynthia Garcia-Knight, and Mary Redburn; 14 great grandchildren; and brother, Dan Rainey of Wylie, Texas.

Ms. French is preceded in death by her husband, A. Jones; son, Bobby Joe French; parents, Floyd Young Rainey and Jewell Vick Rainey; sister, Patricia Anne Rainey; and brother, Jerry Jester Rainey.

Graveside services for Virginia French will be held 3:00 PM Monday, January 4, 2021 at New Mine Cemetery in Camp County, Texas with Bro. David Posey officiating.
