APPLEGATE

Funeral services for Steve Applegate, 61, of Pittsburg, TX were at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Kizer and W.H. Elrod officiating. Interment was in Macedonia Cemetery in Camp County. Arrangements were under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home. Mr. Applegate passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2020 in a Tyler hospital.

Mr. Applegate was born July 1, 1958 in Wood County to Herman James and Dorothy Mae Nunley Applegate. Mr. Applegate was a masonry contractor and a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his sons, Richard Applegate of Tatum and Michael Applegate of Pittsburg; daughter, Stacy Applegate of Pittsburg; grandchildren, Sadie Applegate, Lance Applegate, Makenna Applegate, Todd Walker, Kayla Applegate and Shyler Wilson; great-grandchildren, Matthew Wilson and Greyson Vaughn; brothers, Eddie Dean Applegate and wife, Joy of Pittsburg, Larry Dale Applegate and wife, Teresa of Daingerfield; and sisters, Nellie Massie and husband, Charlie of Golden and Joyce Richbourg of Alba.

Mr. Applegate is preceded in death by his wife, Fayrine Applegate; daughter, Stephanie Applegate; brothers, James Leonard Applegate, Melton Jerrett Applegate, Norman Lee Applegate and H. D. Applegate.

Visitation was from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 10, 2020 at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
