ACKER

Anita Kathleen Acker of Mt. Pleasant, TX, passed away on August 21, 2020 in Tyler, TX. She was born on December 3, 1940 in Phillips, TX to Neal and Emma (Whitecotton) Wood.

Anita was a member of the South Jefferson Baptist Church and was known around this area for her interior designs.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Heather Acker; granddaughter and spouse, Heather and Paul Andrews; grandson, Michael Acker, Jr.; great grandchildren, Aaron, Benjamin and Richard Andrews; brother, Ed Wood.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dan Acker; son, Michael Dan Acker and sisters, Sue Cagle, Nola Rau and Lola Wood.

A visitation was held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, August 23, 2020 at the Bates Cooper Sloan Funeral Home. A graveside service was held at 10:00 AM Monday, August 24, 2020 at the Bethel Cemetery.
