2018 Pioneer Peach Queen Contest underway
The Pioneer Peach Queen contest kicked off June 1 with seven area young ladies vying for the honor to claim the title of Pioneer Peach Queen for 2018. Each contestant will be selling tickets to the Queen’s Pageant set for September 12th at the Pittsburg High School Auditorium. They will also sell tickets to the Community Leaders Luncheon to be held on Thursday, September 13 at noon at the First Baptist Family Life Center as well as tickets for the Pit Bar-B-Que Cook-Off held Saturday, September 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Rusk Street.
The contestant who raises the most money from ticket sales, fundraisers and donations to her candidacy will be crowned Peach Queen. The winner will reign over this years’ Pioneer Days festival sponsored by the Pittsburg-Camp County Chamber of Commerce.
This years’ contestants are Kortnie Lynn Griffin, Emily Yesenia Calderon, Makenzi Lynn Edwards, Lessly Anahi Garza, Maliyah Daney Jackson, KyAuna Denee Jones and Kyleigh Nicole Hefner.
